By December, it hit $6k MRR. What started as a 48-hour build became a sustainable business through featured listings, sponsorships, and ads.

I also launched Dirstarter, a Next.js boilerplate for directory websites, which made $22k in its first year. Building in public and solving my own problem attracted serious buyers.

On the flip side, I shut down Superstash (my no-code directory platform) and open-sourced Chipmunk Theme. Sometimes letting go is part of growing.

AI changed everything too. Cursor and Claude Code transformed my workflow. Tasks that took hours now take minutes.

Total: ~$79k from side projects in 2025.
